RESOURCES FOR RIDING LESSONS AND HORSE TRAINING

LESSON INFORMATION

Lesson Expectations

Lessons are 45 minutes long with about 10 minutes before and after for groom time. Students are expected to groom and tack their horse with help from the instructor and are expected to untack and groom their horse after their ride for the health of the horse.

Schedule

Currently, our lesson schedule is limited to Thursday and Friday evenings from 5-7pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10-3pm.

Required and Recommended Gear

A helmet and boots with a heel are required when around the horses and riding. An ASTM certified riding helmet is preferred but not mandatory. Gloves are recommended, especially in cold weather and half chaps are recommended with english paddock boots. Hair is to be pulled back out of the rider’s face.
